Data Processing Addendum
Effective date: March 5, 2026
This Data Processing Addendum ("DPA") applies to personal data processed by MILIKI (Vobits Limited) on behalf of business customers who act as data controllers. It forms part of the Terms of Service.
1. Roles of the Parties
- Customer: the data controller for customer data stored in MILIKI.
- MILIKI: the data processor, processing data under customer instructions.
2. Processing Details
- Purpose: provide property management, billing, communication, and reporting services.
- Categories of data subjects: tenants, landlords, staff, and service providers.
- Categories of data: contact details, property records, payments, usage logs.
3. Processor Obligations
- Process personal data only on documented instructions from the customer.
- Maintain confidentiality and restrict access to authorized personnel.
- Implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures.
- Assist with data subject requests where applicable.
- Notify the customer of personal data breaches without undue delay.
4. Sub-Processors
We may use sub-processors for hosting, communications, or payment processing. We will remain responsible for their compliance and ensure appropriate safeguards.
5. Data Transfers
If data is transferred outside Kenya, we will implement appropriate safeguards consistent with the Kenya Data Protection Act.
6. Retention and Deletion
We retain data only as necessary to provide the Services and comply with legal obligations. Upon termination, data will be returned or deleted upon request, subject to legal retention requirements.
